Woke up surprisingly early for Native and headed downtown to catch lunch with our good friend Matt Cuthburt and TTNG:

I love downtown Toronto, it’s like a cleaner Chicago:

I always take these pictures for my parents (it’s a Second City Television reference):

After hanging in the street for a bit, we all went in and got seated in Fran’s Diner:

Dane Rick 1 was a night owl the night before and was only on a couple hours of sleep:

TTNG arrived after a long night of raging and sat with us. Jamie and Nick:

“Take a picture in the mirror dude”:

Captain Cool telling stories:

Kept trying to take a picture of the other table but this happened:

Take two:

Almost:

There we go:

Some time during the meal Captain Cool became Milk Man:

Dane Rick was sure to capture all of it (get ready for the most boring and uninteresting tour video ever):

El muchacho leche:

For those of you that don’t know, Jakeway wears basketball shorts everywhere and we’ve been trying to depants him lately, so now he walks everywhere like this:

Another one for the rents:

The van ride from Toronto to Montreal is long, so we all napped. Dane had the most comfortable seat:

Seriously? He’s sitting on the floor of the van with his head on the seat. That seat is the worst for sleeping:

El asiento de leche:

Took a rest stop and found an prize game that Dan’s been trying to conquer back at home. If anyone of you are wondering why we’re late to things, I think I just gave you a clue:

We read a lot during the van ride:

Nave seriously made killer time, conquered the drive in less than 6 hours:

During the van ride we listened to the new Love and Terror Cult album. It’s killer! Be sure and pick it up when it comes out. We also listened to the Kings of Leon/Venga Boys split. Pretty great release.
We stopped at a gas station and McDonald’s to get Aero McFlurrys. INCREDIBLE. I depantsed Jakeway by faking a phone call to Sarah (TTNG’s tour manager) and sneaking up behind him. Down past the knees, huge triumph.
When we got back in the van Jakeway lost his glasses:

El chico leche:

Of course we got restless and started wrestling. Dan kept pulling Jakeway into the next seat:

Dane was stretching and Jakeway jerked his arms, causing his back to crack and him to mutter “oh dude..”. He then fell over into the space between the seat and the door and laid there motionless for a few minutes. VERY entertaining. The best part was no one helped him. It was like:
Jakeway - ::concerned face for a millisecond:: Nice one Dane.
Ed - You ok? Nice boxers dude.
After that we finally arrived in Montreal:

We went and met our very good friend Wood at his street hockey game:

It was awesome to watch the game, wish we had something like this at home:

Casa del Popolo was actually really awesome, they hooked us up with some free food before the show:

Our friend Pierre Luc (Wood’s room-mate/Tetris master) played first in his band Noia:

Up next were our good friends Expectorated Sequence. We’d been waiting in anticipation for about a year and half to see them play again:

They seriously killed it. They also have a new album in the works, it’s going to be legendary.
After the show we hung out a bit with Wood, Max, Greg and Expectorated Sequence. Rey Leche:

Before we left town Wood took us out for some poutine. It was actually the same place we ate with Tonnn the first time we visited Montreal. Wood even drove our van:

After that we dropped Wood off at home and said our goodbyes:
One night in Montreal is never enough anymore, we’ll have to do some careful planning next time. After we left Wood’s we drove through the night to Boston and are now at a Red Roof Inn somewhere outside the city. Stay tuned for more!
